DeMarcus Brooks (Duke Angelo) is thankful to be a part of Shakespeare By The Sea this summer in both Cardenio and Henry IV. DeMarcus studied Theatre at Central Michigan University. Caleb Fietsam (Don Bernardo) is very excited to be joining Shakespeare by the Sea for the very first time! A graduate of California Institute of the Arts, past roles include: a Breathe Right commercial, Rosencrantz in Hamlet, Patroclus in Our Iliad, The Young Syrian in Salome, and more! He dedicates this (and all) performances to his dog Persephone.
Chris Fine (Geraldo/Master of the Flocks) is honored to make his debut in Shakespeare by the Sea’s 27th season. He studied Shakespeare at South Coast Repertory and Saddleback College. Most recent theater credits include Shrek in Shrek: The Musical, Bob In the pre off broadway run of Waiting in the Wings, and The Foreman in 12 Angry Jurors. Amanda Godoy (Leonora) is thrilled to be making her Shakespeare by the Sea debut! Amanda is a Southern California based creative who holds a BFA in Acting for the Stage and Screen from Azusa Pacific University. Recent regional theatrical credits include Rodgers + Hammerstein’s Cinderella (Gabrielle, Performance Riverside), The Polar Express Train Ride (Swing / Dance Captain, Rail Events Productions), and In the Green (Jutta, The Wayward Artist) for which she won the Orange Curtain Award for Best Actress in a Musical. Savannah Moffat (Violante) is excited to be returning to the SBTS stage for her third summer. She was most recently seen as Guildenstern in Shakespeare by the Sea’s production of Hamlet. Other credits include Much Ado About Nothing (Sister Francis) with SBTS, Titus Andronicus (Aemelius) with Boomstick Theatre Co., Miss Bennet Christmas at Pemberly (Anne DeBourgh) at Pioneer Theatre Co., and Sweeney Todd (Johanna) at Heritage Theatre Co. She is thrilled to be a part of these two wonderful shows this summer and gives a big thank you to everyone for coming out to see them!
Will Mueller (Roderick) is thrilled to be making his Shakespeare by the Sea debut. A Colorado native with a BFA in Acting from Illinois Wesleyan University, Will began his professional career as a Core Company member at the Shakespearean company, Gamut Theatre Group. After, he moved to Los Angeles, California where he began The Groundings core track and working as a freelance artist. Some of his recent theater credits include Laretes in Hamlet, Captain Wentworth in Persuasion, The Shepherd’s Son in The Winter’s Tale and Little Fish Theatres Pick of the Vine 2024. Megan Ruble (Fletcher) is an L.A.-based storyteller who is passionate about art and the change it can elicit in the world. Mario Silva (Julio) studied method acting at The Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute where he worked with actor/directors; Paul Calderon (Pulp Fiction), Vincent D’Onofrio (Full Metal Jacket). Mario is also part of the main cast for Live in Theatre, a Drama Desk nominated theatre company based in New York City. He is a co-founder of Cross Bronx Crew, an award winning theatre company. Recently he participated in Dubai’s Short&Sweet theatre festival; and won the best Actor Award. He also received the Best Actor Award 2021 at The Junction Awards for his theatrical performance in The Glass Menagerie by Tennessee Williams portraying Tom Wingfield. Mario recently performed the character of Monchi Reyes in La Gringa by Carmen Rivera, it was performed in Miami at the Adrienne Arsht Center. (Cast List)
Ryon Thomas (Shakespeare) is a graduate of The Ruskin School of Acting in Santa Monica, CA having studied the Advanced Meisner Technique with John Ruskin, Michael Myers, and Michael Laurie. He has performed for numerous Ruskin Group Theatre L.A. Cafe Plays over the years and has had roles in BET’s “The Missing”, AMC’s “Surviving the Cartel”, and NatGeo’s “Heroes of the Sky: The Mighty Eighth Air Force”. A musician, singer, and songwriter of 25 years, Ryon graduated with honors from Southwestern Oklahoma State University with a BA of Arts and is now living the West LA dream with his wife Megan and his two daughters, Evely and Brya. Roberto Williams (Henriquez) is thrilled to return to SBTS since his debut in 2021’s Henry VI Part 1! An Emerson graduate and huge Shakespeare fan, his favorite credits include Hamlet (Long Beach Playhouse;Theatre for a Small Space), Macbeth (134 West; The Bard Brigade), Romeo and Juliet (House of Bards), The Winter’s Tale (Long Beach Shakespeare Co), The Tempest (Theatre for a Small Space), Julius Caesar (Actors Company of Natick), Muse of Fire (Foolish Productions), and several barroom Shakespeare shows with Riot Shakespeare and Shakes On The Rocks. He also co-wrote and starred in Wild Kate, an upcoming short film inspired by Shakespeare’s canon set in modern day. (Cast List)

Stephanie is an award-winning Producer and Director with over 200 productions to her credit and has been the festival producer for SBTS since 2010. For Shakespeare by the Sea, she has directed Richard III, Henry V, The Winter’s Tale, Macbeth, Othello, Hamlet, The Tempest, King John, Romeo and Juliet, King Lear, Titus Andronicus, Julius Caesar, and the online productions of Richard II and Twelfth Night. She also directed Looking, Panache, The Weir, Bach at Leipzig, and The Love List at Little Fish Theatre (where she is also an Artistic Director). Other favorite directing credits include The Last Five Years, Moonlight and Magnolias, Taking Sides, Miss Saigon (Ovation Award Best Musical) Jesus Christ Superstar, Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf, Blithe Spirit, The Taming of the Shrew, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Quilters and Godspell. She has also received the Stage Scene LA award for Director of the Year, the Broadway World award for Best Director, and a nomination for a Garland Award. She is an Associate Artistic Director, Producer, and Casting Director for Rubicon Theatre, served as the Artistic Director of CLO of South Bay and the Hermosa Beach Playhouse. Suzanne Dean (Co-Artistic Director) is an award-winning Actress, Producer and Director. She is the Co-Founder and Co-Artistic Director of Little Fish Theatre and its sister program Shakespeare by the Sea, the Creator of Globetrotting Shakespeare and Pub Shakespeare, Associate Artist with Prague Shakespeare Company, and Owner of Rebelfilm Productions, a film & video company. As an Actress she is known both for dramatic work and comedy with extensive experience in Noel Coward, Tennessee Williams, Harold Pinter, Edward Albee, and William Shakespeare – having performed leading roles in 20 of his plays, often with Shakespeare by the Sea since 2000. For LFT she has appeared in: Hedda Gabler, The Lady’s Not for Burning, Veronica’s Room, What the Butler Saw, The Lion in Winter, Betrayal, Blithe Spirit, Blood Poetry and Rapture, Blister, Burn. In the 2019 season, she directed the LA premiere of Operation Ajax. She is a Broadway World and StageSceneLA winner for Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf, Betrayal, Much Ado About Nothing, The Taming of the Shrew, Private Lives, Antony & Cleopatra, and Hedda Gabler. Jonathan Fisher (Director & Co-Adapter) is thrilled to be back for a sixth season with Shakespeare by the Sea. Past appearances with SBTS include Twelfth Night (Malvolio), 2 Henry VI (York/Jack Cade), 1 Henry VI (Richard Plantagenet), Richard III (Buckingham), Measure for Measure (Angelo), Titus Andronicus (Marcus Andronicus), Henry V (Henry V), The Comedy of Errors (Antipholus of Ephesus), The Winter’s Tale (Clown) and The Merry Wives of Windsor (Sir Hugh Evans), as well as the digital readings of Richard II (Bolingbroke) and Twelfth Night (Orsino). Anna Miles (Co-Adapter) is a writer and director of theater, film, digital, and immersive work and the founding artistic director of Beating of Wings: An Artist Collective. Recent theater projects include In the Green by Grace McLean at The Wayward Artist, winner of the Orange Curtain Awards for Best Show, Best Musical, and Best Director (Director), A Sad Tale’s Best for Winter (Writer, Director), produced with Noise Now at A Noise Within Theatre, and Our Town at the Woodland Opera House (Director). Her short film “Zenith” (Director, Editor, Co-Writer) was an official selection of the NYX Collective’s “13 Minutes of Horror” film festival, streamed on Shudder and with RedTower Entertainment, and her work in digital theater includes both video design for live events as well as fully-digital projects such as “#NeverAlone,” an interactive Instagram experience featured in the AV Club (Director, Co-Creator). Anna was a member of the 2022 Kennedy Center Directing Intensive cohort and a finalist for the Drama League’s 2023 Beatrice Terry Residency, and holds a BA in Theater from Northwestern University and an MFA from Brown/Trinity’s Programs in Acting and Directing. A. Jeffrey Schoenberg (Costume Designer)
Jeffrey has been designing costumes for L. A. area theaters for 40 years and is a four-time recipient of the L. A. Stage Alliance Ovation Award. This is his 6th production for Shakespeare by the Sea, having designed last season’s Richard III, and 2020/2021’s Measure For Measure and Titus Andronicus. Other past designs include Candide for the Bob Cole Conservatory of Music at CSULB; Resolving Hedda for the Victory Theater; and The History of Comedy (abridged) at the Falcon Theater. He designed Cloud 9 for the Antaeus Company, (for which he received an L. A. Drama Critics Circle Award, A Stage Raw Award, and an Ovation nomination,) and where he has designed more than 15 productions including As You Like It. The Wedding Band, Mrs. Warren’s Profession, The Malcontent, King Lear, and Tonight at 8:30. Other recent designs include Kiss Me, Kate, for Cabrillo Music Theater; Always … Patsy Cline for Sierra Madre Playhouse; Hamlet for L. A. Women’s Shakespeare; Elmina’s Kitchen for Lower Depths Theatre; Bach at Leipzig, for the Odyssey Theater; The Dead, The Time of Your Life, and Threepenny Opera for the Open Fist Theater; and the NoHo Arts Center’s Elizabeth Rex. For the Colony Theater, he designed 40 productions, including Dames at Sea, Side Show, The Ladies of the Camellias, and The Laramie Project. Chris Beyries (Scenic Designer)
Chris has designed shows for LFT including The Love List, Bach at Leipzig, Looking, And the Stones Will Cry Out, Henry IV Part 1, Taking Sides, Chapter Two and Time Stands Still, Hedda Gabler, Pick of the Vine, and The Weir. Other favorite design credits include Taking Sides (Rubicon Theatre), Moonlight and Magnolias (Rubicon Theatre), Barefoot in the Park, The Light in the Piazza, The 1940’s Radio Hour, Beehive, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Spit Like a Big Girl, Wait Until Dark, Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf, Jesus Christ Superstar, The Green Room, Bye Bye Birdie, The Nerd, Steel Magnolias, Twice Upon a Time, Art and Godspell. He previously served as the Technical Director and Resident Scenic Designer for Civic Light Opera of South Bay Cities. His work has been seen coast to coast (and beyond) including NBC, Princess Cruises, Actors’ Theatre of Louisville, and Opera San Jose. Cinthia Nava (Sound Designer)
Cinthia began working with SBTS as a sound designer and audio engineer in the summer of 2018. Past productions include Measure for Measure, Titus Andronicus, Henry V, Comedy of Errors, A Winter’s Tale, and Merry Wives of Windsor. They have also done sound work for Cerritos College, Little Fish Theatre, Puttin’ On Productions, Rogue Artists Ensemble, and South Coast Repertory. Nada Jawad (Sound Engineer) An audio engineer by day, and an actor/comedian by night! Nada Jawad graduated from UCLA with a BA in Theater Arts, and is currently employed at The Wallis Center doing Audio/Video Tech. You can find her via @nadajawada on Instagram and TikTok. Julia Poprac (Stage Manager) is currently a junior studying Theatre at Chapman University. She has most recently been the stage manager for Storm in the Barn and assistant stage manager for both Mother Courage and her Children and Freaky Friday at Chapman University. When not doing theatre you can find her watching movies, spending time with friends and family, and playing cards with anyone who will join her. Allison Stowe (LACAC Intern) is a rising junior at the University of Southern California studying Business Administration with minors in Musical Theatre and Entertainment Industry. She serves as President of Musical Theatre Repertory at USC, where she recently produced productions of A New Brain, Fun Home, and She Loves Me. Sonja Inge (Administrative Assistant) While Sonja is a member of SAG-AFTRA, prior to acting, she spent a decade in the world of fundraising and outreach for non-profits in Washington, D.C., such as The Planned Parenthood Federation of America, The Council of Chief State School Officers, and The National Youth Employment Coalition. She also was the assistant development manager for The Peterson Automotive Museum in Los Angeles. She performed with SBTS during the summer of 2019 playing the role of The Abess/Emilia in The Comedy of Errors. Bill Voorhees (Scenic Builder)
Bill has been involved in theater for 36 years in the Sacramento, Los Angeles, and San Francisco regions. He currently resides in Los Angeles, where he has worked on The Family Guy and American Dad! for Fox TV Animation. Plays that Bill has directed include the world premieres of Skeleton Stories by Delondra Williams, Red Helen by Jennifer Barclay, and Kirsten Vangsness’ Potential Space at Los Angeles’ Theatre of NOTE, where he serves on the Artistic Management Committee. Film and TV credits include Real Time with Bill Maher, Attila, Mega Shark vs. Mecha Shark, Ardennes Fury, Circus Kane, and Z-Nation.
